At the last event (and other events) a lot of you came to me with ideas for things we could do at future events, so I've added a thread where you can post these ideas. If there's something you have in mind feel free to leave a reply down below. It would be great if you explained your idea in as much detail as possible. The officers will discuss and consider all of your ideas and may decide to use them if we feel they could work well.
Please ensure anything you come up with is actually something that's possible. For example, a 100 vs 100 PvP war would be awesome but getting something like that together would be extremely difficult. Also, nothing that is too mechanically complex or hard to organize. Keep in mind that these events generally have about 50 people participating and it can be a pain in the ass to get everyone doing what they're supposed to do. Generally, simpler is better.
Also, before someone inevitably asks, we will NOT be doing mass farming of the achievement for having 50 people in your stronghold. The guild has attempted this before and encountered several issues. You need to have 3 groups going which requires a lot of coordination, it takes forever to herd people from stronghold to stronghold, and people that already got their cheevos would often coincidentally have to leave after their stronghold was done. So this is not something we will consider doing anytime soon.
Aside from that, pretty much everything else is fair game. It can be PvE related, PvP related, some form of random game, an ongoing contest leading up to the event, a variation of past shit we've done, etc. Whatever feasible ideas you can come up with. Suggestions for minor changes to things we already do at events are also welcome.

I was thinking a rat race event. Everyone takes off their gear, buffs and stims. From a specific starting line we have groups of 5-10 run through HIGHLY populate mob areas and the first to pass the finish line or last alive Wins that round. No stealthing allowed no medpacks no moves at all. Just run and don't die.

No stealthing allowed no medpacks no moves at all. Just run and don't die. Not a bad idea. There are certain planets which have high mob density in a fairly small overall location. For instance: Oricon. A place with many mobs, natural hazards, and no quick travel points to preclude the possibility of cheating. This is a bit similar to something we did on Rishi a while back, which worked out rather well overall. Doing this in such a location would also allow people to come up with their own pathways and what not. Of course, we'd have to station officers fairly frequently around, and use ops groups, to make sure no one is mounting up for a few seconds here and there or sneaking in a medpac. However if we were to do this, it might be easier just to buff everyone with the class buff, since during the boxing event people kept accidentally buffing each other and what not.

So one of my first guilds I was in had a massive bounty hunting/rp/hide and seek type event. There was a corrupt Republic General that was killing pub and imp alike and we had to go and find contacts (officers) at different locations for information on his location. People were on teams of 2-3 (4 or more for this guild) and in separate chat channels. The team that found each contact first would get a credit reward, then the next contacts name and some information about them who was on a different planet and a subsequent minute headstart before they told the rest of the groups. This all in all was about 6 - 7 planets long. There were even obstacles given like the next contact doesn't talk to Sith so the team had to switch to appropriate roles. Even involved pub toons as well. At the very end was when you finally found and neutralized the General on the pubside and he had backup with him as well. Whichever team killed the General first was the winner. There were also rewards like best rp'er, etc.
So for example all the teams start on Dromund Kaas with information about a contact named Cipher Agent Kitana. They would then have to find her in the jungles and if it took to long than some hints would be given out. First team that finds her gets money that they split amongst each other and then told to locate a retired Bounty Hunter on Hutta nicknamed Worm Food (Dee lol) for the next bit of information, however he only talks to fellow Bounty Hunters prompting everyone to switch. They would then go off to find him and after a minute the rest of the groups would be told.
I've noticed that with the videos lately and other events are appearing more rp oriented and some of ya'll tell the funniest stories, so a script wouldn't be that hard to come up with. It also gets the officers more involved in the actual events. Just something i remembered that was fun and felt like sharing. Could even have flea at each contact location to film. This was actually fairly easy to manage, we had about 25ish (8 teams) people who did the event, harder with the usual turnout, might have to have larger teams, and even harder to perform with 1000 guildie limit in April.

The idea I had from before was basically a quest/weekly race. Naturally, to enter you'd need to make sure that people save that weekly for the event, but I could see it working something like this.
We pick a place for a race, let's say the first to complete the Yavin 4 weekly quest.
The participants join an ops group with the race organizer, who confirms that nobody is on any of the quests beforehand (everyone has to start them fresh) and passes out all the quests to the racers. Once that is done, the group gets broken up (as to ensure that nobody benefits from other's work).
3..2...1...go
The racers go off to do the weekly in whatever order or setup they want and the winner is the first one to complete it.
The only problems I can find with it is that there's no real clear way to determine completion of a quest. I suppose the winners rejoin the judge's group and they attempt to share the weekly or something.

Treasure Hunt:
Officers place 3-5 specific unique decos in both fleet and Nar Shaadda SHs. Depending how many participate, do groups of 8 with the winner of each group forming a FINALS group to find 1 particular deco.
Prize could be helping those open up their own SH Expansion, help decorate their SH (which in turn give them more of a conquest bonus for the guild). Or they can be rewarded with special expensive deco's
I know we did something similar with "find the officers" but this allows to find specific items as a check list in both our SH.
I'm still waiting for the "glory hole" deco.....

Since we have a huttball on the flag ship why don't we have a team and throw it back n forth and whoever explodes is out kinda like dodge ball but with the hutball we can like have girls vs. boys no stealth allowed.

King Of The Hill. 2 people start on the top of a hill in a duel. Only way to win is to be the only one on top for 30 seconds. Killing a player on top leaves the body therefore not a win. Mull over the details.

Find number of items that drop from different mobs at different locations. First one to complete the 'shopping' list wins.

Hm.... this sounds intriguing. It would take a lot of work to set up, but I think the end payoff could be very worth it. I already have ideas popping into my head "The legendary Pemex has been spotted grazing his cattle to the North-east of the House Thul stronghold on Alderaan" or "Space police radio chatter has indicated that Sanbar is streaking around Oricon, again..."

Could use the Rack cages and have 2 companions duke it out. Have each person pick there favorite comp then make it to were you can just place the them in the cage and have them fight each other. Could do it based off of affection lvls. The guild could bet on the winner and split the proceeds for funds for the guild.
