Our next guild event will be on Saturday, July 11th @ 9:00pm PST. (See clock at top of the page)
It will take place on the Command Deck of our guild flagship.
The event will have the following:
We will not be doing a contest this month, as this event was somewhat of a last minute decision. Since the server-wide duel tournament is postponed, we have decided to make a few adjustments to the way we run tournaments. We are going to use this guild event as a test run for our new tournament format. (Yes, you're going to be our guinea pigs LOL) The main goal here is to see how well this would work if we opened it up to the entire server. If these server-wide tournaments catch on we could be a dealing with a very large amount of people and we need to be prepared for that, so I'd like as many guildies at this "simulation" tournament as possible.
To encourage member participation, we will be paying all participants 100,000 credits just for fighting in the tournament and giving it their best shot. Win or lose, you will get 100k creds. In addition to this, we will have multi-million credit prizes for the final winners as we always do. You've got nothing to lose, so you might as well give it a shot! Details are listed below.
The major complaint we had from people when advertising the server-wide duel tournament was about class imbalance. (Certain classes being OP, stealth vs non-stealth being unfair, maras not standing a chance (lol), etc) In order to address this we have decided to adjust the categories for matchups. Players will be matched on a class vs class basis. We will go through each class one by one until we have 1 winner from each class. These players will then be matched up against the winners from the other class categories, until we have a final winner.
All of the Best [class] winners will have their in-game note + guildsite rank changed to "Best [class]" so they can brag and such. (If we weren't maxed on guild ranks I'd make custom ranks for people, but fuck BioWare.)
After the tournament is over, we will distribute the prize money. If you wish to receive your prize you MUST stick around til the end. After all the prize money has been handed out, we will do our usual giveaways.
Ventrilo -- Everyone in Ventrilo for the guild event will get to /roll for 1 of 5 prizes.
Participants -- Everyone who participated in the duel tournament will get to /roll for 1 of 5 prizes.
Prizes will be announced soon.
Hope to see you there!

All of the Best [class] winners will have their in-game note + guildsite rank changed to "Best [class]" so they can brag and such. (If we weren't maxed on guild ranks I'd make custom ranks for people, but fuck BioWare.)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be level 60.
- Be able to follow the rules. (See below)
- There are not any gear restrictions.
RULES:
- You CAN use your alts to participate in different class categories, but you cannot use alts of the same class to participate twice in a category. (ie. You can use an assassin then switch to juggernaut in the next category, but you cannot use 2 assassins in the same category.)
- Although you can participate in multiple categories, you can only move on to the finals with 1 of your alts. (ie. If you win 1st for both assassin and juggernaut, you can only advance to finals with ONE of those)
- Officers WILL be allowed to participate in this tournament. (Special exception for this test run)
- Companions are NOT permitted.
- Stims, medpacs, adrenals, and grenades ARE permitted.
- Fighters must stay WITHIN the ring. Leaving the ring will result in your LOSS for that round. (If you get pushed out by your opponent, simply get back in the ring ASAP)
- Members who are not currently fighting must stay OUT of the the ring at ALL TIMES. (Anyone who gets in the way will be banned from the guild stronghold for the duration of the event.)
- Anyone who fails to honor their bets will be removed from guild. Once the match is over, the loser must immediately pay the winner the agreed-upon amount.
- Keep the shit-talking in good spirit. (Don't freak out because you lost and throw a tantrum like a goddamn baby, it will NOT be tolerated.)
- Everyone must listen to the directions of the officers at all times.
PROCEDURE:
- We will go through the class categories one at a time. All of the people participating with the class we're currently doing will be invited to an ops group and matched up by an officer.
- The tournament will be in single-elimination format. (If you lose you're out of the category. If you win you'll fight against others who won their matches as well. This will continue until only one person is left - the person who won all their matches. They will win the prize money for that category. Basically, it's last man standing.)
- Fighters will enter the designated fighting arena and wait until the officer directing the event gives the go-ahead to start dueling.
- Take down your opponent before they take down you and you win that round.
- Fights will consist of 3 rounds - best out of 3 wins.
- When the fight is over, you must immediately heal up and begin the next round. You will not be permitted to wait for cooldowns.
- Members will be matched based on similar gearing.
GIVEAWAYS:
After the tournament is over, we will distribute the prize money. If you wish to receive your prize you MUST stick around til the end. After all the prize money has been handed out, we will do our usual giveaways.
