NEW RANK: MAFIOSO A lot of you probably know that we have a severe shortage in officers right now. A lot have left the game entirely, some were demoted, and some stepped down on their own. We now have a tiny handful of people running a massive guild with thousands of members. This is a huge burden for such a small amount of people to carry and we need to do something about it. It might sound like it's a simple matter of promoting more people, but it is not that easy. There are some pretty strict requirements for being an officer and it takes a lot more than just being dedicated to the guild. We are VERY fussy about officers. At the same time, we are aware that there are some of you out there who would like to play a bigger role in leadership. So as a solution, we've come up with this new plan: We will be adding a new "Mafioso" rank that will be above Veteran Gangster but below Caporegime. This rank will bridge the gap between standard members and full on officers. It will be a sort of semi-officer rank, perfect for those of you who would like to someday be an officer but have not yet had the opportunity, or those of you who could be officers but can't handle all of the responsibility. Mafiosos will NOT be full officers, however they will still have a small amount of officer-like power and members will be expected to respect and obey them when needed. On the other side of things, they will also have a few small responsibilities. See below for details. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Recruitment - We have a recruitment schedule where officers get assigned to recruitment duty once every few weeks. Mafiosos will be teamed up with officers to assist in recruiting on certain weeks.
- Commander Runs - We also have a commander run schedule for officers. Mafiosos will help the officers out with this, and may even get to lead their own runs if they are capable of it.
- Conquest - We'll need Mafiosos to help out with lockout runs, world bosses, etc when we're doing group conquest content.
- Guild Events - Mafiosos will be needed to help with some of the events we run.
- Promotions - Mafioso rank will have the ability to promote FBI Informants to Associate when they sign up on our website and they should do so.
PERKS:- Entry into an exclusive Mafioso giveaway category every month
- Access to occasional officer-only contests
- Inclusion in most officer meetings
- Possibility of a future officer position
- Influence in decisions about the guild
- A shiny new rank!
REQUIREMENTS:- Must be Veteran Gangster rank for at least 1 month.
- Must use Ventrilo and guild site regularly.
- Must be willing to assist with recruitment, commander runs, conquest, member promos, and guild events.
If you'd like to apply for a Mafioso rank -- and you meet all of the requirements above -- leave a reply to this post stating your interest. Please note that we MAY not approve every single application, for a wide variety of reasons, so do not take it personally if you are not granted a position. However, if you are interested (and meet requirements) don't hesitate to apply! If it is something you want you have nothing to lose by just letting us know you want in.

i joined BBB in august 2014 when it was a quiet guild with lots of inactives and no website. i am not sure but i dont think anyone has been continuously in the guild longer than me besides Siino and Fizzles (who has become inactive)
i'd love to be mafioso, i have been in the guild for 25 months, more than 20 months as a VG and have previously applied for capo but i wasnt active enough to contribute at a capo level. i'd be ideal as i am an apac player and am online mostly when the US capos are asleep
i joined the guild as "Twisted Cyster" and then name changed to "Snu'snoo". then i changed my main away from Sintank to merc which i am currently still playing cus Siino said it was the better class
would also like to point out i was capo on pubside for 6 months before the ranks were standardised across both pub and imp side
i kinda hoped mafioso has gkick power tho

I am interested in applying, Sin. I've been consistently active in the guild ever since March of 2015. Currently all my Imperial toons are in various BBB guilds.

I'll throw my name into the hat; I have been active in the guild since returning in March, and have been playing for over 2 years. I am not consistently subbed, but I can educate new members on both guild & gameplay fundamentals. I have at least one of all 8 advanced classes, a fair amount of warzone/GSF/FP/Ops experience, and have experience in recruiting.
Edit:
The role I envision having (in addition to the basic responsibilities) as a mafioso would be:
teaching members how to play a spec*, what they need to be doing for a FP/Ops boss, or basic warzone tactics (either at personal request or at the request of an officer) providing basic crafting services (i.e. supply the guild banks; augment crafting for guild members that need them)
*- my knowledge of healing specs are sub-par, at this juncture I would not recommend sending them to me for advice on healing

I am Odo... I am interested... Been in BBB for only a short time ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I like to finish conquests on as many toons as possible every week... Love the title VG (dirty thoughts), but would love the bump as well ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) - Commander runs are a very cool guild activity, and the SHITTERFEST was very cool as well!!! Been playing SWTOR (and ONLY SWTOR) since beta, and still have learned alot since joining BBB, very laid back guild, few rules, all common sense, all point towards the same goals for the guild... Selected or not, will still raise hand to help, no hard feelings, I hate you all ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Sincerely, Me Odo

I'd certainly love to help out in any way I can. Would my timezone be an issue? I'm an hour behind server time, and generally, by the time I get home from work, Commanders and OPS runs are usually in progress.
I only joined BBB in late June of this year, but I still would like to help out

There are scheduled commander runs. When it is your day you have anytime within that 24 hr time period to finish that commander run. Other officers/mafioso are more than welcome to tag along and help but ultimately the plans and management are up to the person that is scheduled. If for any reason you can't make a particular run just ask and see if someone can cover it for you.

Can get on vent! But yea, I'm interested in helping! I've noticed the lack of staff and I would really enjoy helping out! So here's my ticket in to the goblet of fire! I've been vet gang for a bit over a month!

"Vent regular"...I'm out...lol. Is there a reason why, Skinny? We do not require members to have or use a mic, and it is a really helpful tool when you're trying to keep a group on task without having to stop and type in game (during commander run pulls, or operations, or pvp, etc). I'm just curious if there's something more than not liking being in vent for you that makes you say that.

"Vent regular"...I'm out...lol. Going along with what babydoll said mic isn't required if that is why you don't like to use vent. As a matter of fact I personally choose not to use a mic myself. The voice of TTS IS MAJESTIC!!!
