I guess there's been a lot of confusion and questions about why we chose to put all 6 guilds on the same planet, so I'm gonna explain the reasons behind it:
1. We don't have the funds to properly stock up for a crafting war on multiple fronts. The last guild event just took literally 1 billion out of our funds. We're also in the process of upgrading our guild flagships/strongholds/banks/etc. We just can't afford to be going crazy with mat funding, especially only a few weeks after the last Total Galactic War happened - which ate up over a billion in mats. There wasn't much point getting into crafting wars we couldn't win.
2. We've been really pushing it lately - claiming multiple planets each week and busting our asses to do so, for months straight. Given the shortage of mat preparation, this was a good week to take a bit of a break and do something else we've always wanted to try...
3. Having 6 versions of the same guild invade the same planet and take the top 6 places isn't something that has ever happened on Harbinger before. A lot of us have always thought it'd be funny to do that one week and this week was a perfect opportunity to do it. It's one big server-wide joke and more useless (but interesting) shit we can brag about!
After this week, we'll resume with our usual routine of invading every single planet. The only upcoming exception will be the Revenge of the Revanites week during Oct 11 - 17. During that week we will ONLY be focusing on Yavin and Rishi.

I was confused until I logged in and saw the Hoth leaderboard. Then it all made perfect sense ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Perfect sense, and so glad we are doing this.

How does invading the same planet reduce "mat funding"? I hope this isn't a serious question.

How does invading the same planet reduce "mat funding"? Because instead of having to earn 6mil+ points in 6 guilds, we can have several of our guilds on the board with much smaller amounts. Take a look at first place on almost any planet right now, and think about what we'd have to do to have one of the BBB guilds in that spot instead. That should answer the question pretty simply.

Sus, the biggest thing is that not all mats for conquest can be farmed for free. The white mats that are required to make every intermediate crafting piece (which in turn are then crafted into a conquest war supply) can only be gathered via missions (inefficient), the crafting vendor (expensive), or the GTN. In addition, the guild will regularly raid the GTN for green mats as well, because it saves people time. All of this takes a ton of credits to accumulate the requisite mats to distribute to guildies and have them pump out millions of points, as Babydoll points out.
