STAFF + OFFICER PAYROLL
Starting in 2017, we will begin paying staff and officers a monthly credit salary -- which will also include bonuses for completing various tasks. For the sake of transparency and not making our officer team look like shady/selfish assholes, I'm posting this publicly and explaining everything as in-depth as I possibly can.
To begin with, I'd like to clarify that this was MY idea. The officer team was NOT asking for handouts or anything like that. I took it upon myself to build on an idea that Fizzles and I had a very long time ago. I don't want anyone to think that the officers are being greedy or selfish or any other similar bullshit, because that is 100% NOT the case. Some officers even rejected this idea and will be getting paid whether they want it or not. So I don't wanna hear about any drama over accusations of greed/theft/etc. This isn't Anarchy where leadership quietly siphons from guild bank for whatever personal desires they have. This is BBB where we're always up front with you about where guild funds go and what they're used for -- thus this post.
Now the reasons behind my decision to instate a payroll:
- First and foremost, it is to reward staff and officers for the effort they put into helping the guild. Staff/officers don't really get much in return for all their hard work and I'd like to change that. They also rarely have time to go out and grind credits like the average player does, since their time online is usually devoted to guild-related activities. I feel that it's unfair for players who work so goddamn hard to be broke as fuck all the time.
- This also serves as an incentive for staff/officers who could be putting in more effort but choose not to. Money is a very good motivator and people are much more likely to put in more effort when they're getting paid for it. It also makes staff/officer positions much more appealing to anyone with that misconception that it's completely awful.
- On the other side of things, it will also provide a new consequence for failure that isn't as harmful to the guild as a demotion is. If a staff member or officer completely slacks off on their recruitment week or misses too many commander runs or etc, they'll have their monthly credits revoked instead of being immediately demoted. (Obviously demotions will still be a consequence, but it will be reserved for more serious offenses and as a last resort for people who are too lazy for too long.)
- A strong management team is the single most vital part of a successful guild. The addition of this payroll system will strengthen our management team and greatly improve the guild as a result. The officers being more motivated means more recruits being brought in, more guild funds being earned, better guild events being held, more conquest points being racked up, etc. The guild will continue growing instead of sitting at this plateau we've been stuck at for the last couple months. It is money well spent.
All of these salaries/bonuses will be sent out at the same time on the 1st day of every month. Commander runs and recruitment duty are already thoroughly documented here on the forum, so once a month we'll go over them all and calculate who earned what. Just to clarify, this means that staff/officers will NOT receive their bonuses immediately after they complete a task. It will all be sent in a lump sum on the 1st of the month, starting with February 1st, 2017.
Before sending out salaries/bonuses, I will review each staff member + officer and decide whether or not they really earned their pay that month. If someone does barely any recruitment on their assigned week or misses a bunch of their scheduled commander runs, they are likely to NOT get paid for that month. Same goes for shit like causing drama, breaking rules, going inactive, etc. (Note: The introduction of this payroll system will likely result in several rank adjustments on the staff team, as some people would be earning larger portions than they currently deserve.)
Also, I will NOT take any salary/bonus/etc or pay of any kind. (It'd be too easy to adjust it disproportionately in my favor, plus 90% of the credits I make go back into guild bank anyways.)
SALARIES
MAFIOSO
- 10,000,000 per month
CAPOREGIME
- 20,000,000 per month

BONUSES
Staff members receive extra credits with their salaries for completing the following tasks:
COMMANDER RUNS

- Runs must be documented in the Commander Run Schedule for them to count. A full run is defined as a dual-faction run that hits every available commander.
- This can be done at any time, regardless of whether it is scheduled or not. This means that doing extra runs means making extra money.
- Only the group leader gets paid. Group leader is the person who forms the group, coordinates and directs the run, accounts for all flagship plans, documents the run on forum, etc.
- If a staff member is assigned to commander duty one day and a run does not happen on that assigned day, they will have 10% of their monthly pay deducted.
RECRUITMENT
- Each staff member assigned to recruitment must get their assigned guild up to 900+ members.
- Hitting this quota will result in a bonus of 5,000,000.
- Staff/officers are only eligible for this during their assigned recruitment week.
- Recruitment numbers are taken directly from the Recruitment Schedule.
LOTTERY TICKETS
- Staff receive a 10% cut of each lottery ticket they sell
- Staff/officers are only eligible for this during event seasons where guild lotteries are running.
- Lottery ticket sales numbers are taken directly from the ticket masterlists.
CONQUEST CONTEST
- 10,000,000 for the 6 staff members assigned to calculating the legacy conquest contests every Monday.
